GUID.org Opt Out

If you do not want to be assigned an anonymous user ID, you can "opt out". Please note carefully the instructions on the page to ensure that all copies of your GUID have been removed.

First, if you have configured your browser to disable cookies, please enable them during the transition to the next page. GUID.org will erase your current GUID, and set a cookie that indicates that you have opted out. This will prevent us from ever assigning you a GUID in the future, and will indicate to sites that you wish to remain anonymous. After the OptedOut cookie is set, you may re-disable cookies if you wish.

GUID.org transmits your GUID to sites that request it in order to recognize you. If you wish to remove that capability from sites, you must manually remove cookies from your browser. Follow the instructions provided by your browser manufacturer to remove all cookies that follow the form "GUID=0123456789ABCDEF0123456789ABCDEF".
